Rainy Day Workshop – For children ages five through 12. Sponsored by Spokane Parks and Recreation, this class will teach kids to make clays and stickers for the next rainy day. The class meets on Oct. 9 from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The cost is $21. For more information or to register call 625-6200.

Little Performers Combo Dance – For kids aged 7-9. Spokane Parks and Recreation is offering classes including the basics of ballet, tap and jazz beginning Oct. 4 from 6:15-7:15 p.m. The classes meet weekly at the Southside Senior Activity & Community Center, 3151 E. 27th. Kids Bike Race Series – Kids aged two through 12 can participate in competitions on kid-friendly courses, learn safety tips and routine bike maintenance and more during this series of bike races. The event takes place Sunday at 1 p.m. at Audubon Park on Northwest Boulevard and Milton. Registration is recommended. Call the Group Health Resource Line, 1-800-922-2279 or e-mail resource.1@ghc.org. Children must have a parent or guardian sign a release form at the site and approved helmets are required.

Anger Management Class – For ages 12-17. Class also will focus on self-esteem and conflict resolution. Contact Patrick Donahue, 979-7076, for more information.

Before- and After-school Programs – Educational and fun programs are available at the Northeast Youth Center, 4001 N. Cook. Transportation to and from some local elementary schools is available and state pay is accepted. Includes a USDA approved snack. Camp Fire USA – Clubs forming for children between the ages of 3-grade 12. Call the Camp Fire USA Service Center for more information, 747-6191.

Creativity Clubhouse – This summer outreach program is presented by the Children’s Museum and KSPS Public Television. Children between the ages of eight and 10 can participate in gardening projects, international crafts, ZOOM science projects and make Lego skyscrapers. Jump Rope Academy – Instruction includes single rope and double Dutch; ages 2-adult. Monday-Saturday. Free introduction class. Birthday and group workshops; $8 per person.
