Don’t become a victim of predatory lenders
Free information about how to avoid becoming a victim of lending discrimination will be available at the Predatory Lending Workshop from 1-4 p.m., Friday, May 13 at the Museum of Arts and Culture Auditorium (2316 W. First Ave.).
The event, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Washington State Human Rights Commission, is free and open to the public.
Both governmental entities enforce Fair Housing laws, which include providing protection and remedies to victims of housing discrimination.
This is an important workshop for you if you believe you or someone you know may be victims of predatory mortgage lending discrimination or if you simply want to learn more about how to protect yourself against predatory lending.
