No wedding date for Letourneau, ex-victim
SEATTLE – Mary Kay Letourneau and her former sixth-grade pupil, the father of her two youngest children, apparently are not marrying this weekend as their bridal registry had indicated.
Letourneau, 43, served 7 ½ years in prison after she was convicted of raping Vili Fualaau, now 22.
The couple’s bridal registry at Macy’s listed the wedding date as April 16, but attorney David Gherke, who represented Letourneau at her child-rape trial, said no wedding was planned this weekend.
King County had no record of a marriage license for them or an application for one.
