Also, a mayor’s advisory committee will make a report of its findings into investigations of a fatal accident at the city’s wastewater plant last May. The council is being asked to approve a dozen new staff positions at the plant, nine of which would be to improve operating safety at the plant.

6 p.m. Tuesday, City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave., regular council meeting. Topics include: road improvement projects, jail staffing, sign code and an amendment to the 2005 budget.
