Three boys fall victim to older teenage thieves

The Spokesman-Review

Three boys had their bicycles stolen by older teenage boys on Spokane’s North Side, police said.

The boys, who are 11, 13 and 14, were riding their bikes about 6 p.m. Saturday in a vacant lot at Division and Dalke when they were approached by the other boys who initially appeared friendly, police spokesman Dick Cottam said in a news release.

The older boys pushed the younger boys off their bicycles and rode off on them.

One of the stolen bikes was a new BMX-style, with white and blue flames, valued at $178, Cottam.

Police checked the neighborhood but did not find the suspects.
