April Showers at the library – The Spokane Public Library presents these classes that celebrate April showers with crafts and stories, 4 p.m. Friday at the East Side Library, 524 S. Stone, and the Indian Trail Library, 4909 W. Barnes. The class also will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Downtown Library, 906 W. Main. For information, call 444-5300.

Seashells and Art Elements – The Corbin Art Center, 507 W. Seventh Ave., and the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department will present this class for ages 6-9 that includes hands-on activities and discussion about the line, color, shape and space in seashell designs, next Thursday, 9-11 a.m. The cost is $10. Before- and After-school Programs – Educational and fun programs are available at the Northeast Youth Center, 4001 N. Cook. Transportation to and from some local elementary schools is available and state pay is accepted. Includes a USDA approved snack. Jump Rope Academy – Instruction includes single rope and double Dutch, 2727 N. Madelia St., Suite 5; ages 2-adult. Monday-Saturday. Free introduction class. Multi-Cultural Folk Dancing: Silver Spurs Youth Folk Dancers – Kids in grades three through six and seven through 12 can learn clogging, German, Ukrainian, Romanian and Irish folk dancing, swing and more at Silver Spurs International Folk Dance Youth Group, 1426 E. 19th Ave. Some scholarships are available.
