Hamblen Presbyterian to show movies

Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, 4102 S. Crestline St., is inviting all ninth- through 12th graders to watch movies in the church courtyard or in the youth room Monday nights from 8 to 10 through the end of the month.

The movies will be appropriately rated, and everyone should bring snacks.

Guitarist will perform

Mt. Spokane Church is celebrating the opening of its new 700-seat amphitheater Friday at 6:30 p.m.

The new facility, 6311 E. Mount Spokane Park Drive, is hosting Christian country music guitarist Dennis Agajanian.

He has performed regularly with Billy and Franklin Graham, Greg Laurie and Promise Keepers.

A free-will offering will be taken.

Story time

The Christian Life Bookstore, 510 E. Francis Ave., is offering kids story times every Saturday in this month at 2 p.m.

Children ages 5 through 12 are invited to listen to a reading of a short story, refreshments, door prizes and giveaways, and all participating kids will receive a 20 percent discount on Junior Readers and children’s books.
