Gardeners of Spokane – This month’s meeting will feature Levi Straus, an entomologist and master gardener. Thursday. 7 p.m., Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St. 467-9804.

Huckleberry Extravaganza – Patti’s Garden Expressions is presenting huckleberry pies, baked goods, preserves and will have huckleberries for sale. Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., 1421 N. Meadowwood Lane, Liberty Lake.

Apple Festival – Harvest festival is held over seven weekends, Sept. 17-Oct. 30. Enjoy a large variety of apples, fresh pressed cider and other produce, live music, craft booths, corn and straw mazes and animals. Sept. 17 - 18. Green Bluff.
