State troopers bust hundreds over weekend

Washington State Patrol troopers were busy over the weekend busting drivers along state highways leading to Washington State University and the University of Idaho. Troopers also kept a lookout for traffic violators at a motorcycle rally in Rosalia.

Over the course of the weekend, troopers stopped 798 violators and wrote 333 speeding tickets and another 42 tickets for aggressive driving.

Fourteen people were arrested for driving under the influence, including one motorcycle driver near Plaza. According to the WSP, that driver suffered the only injury related to the Rosalia biker rally, which attracted more than 6,000 people.
