After 14 blurry photographs, Ruby finally stands still long enough for her picture. This beautiful girl was a stray and was turned in by the people who found her in December 2004. She is a bundle of energy and has been waiting a long time for an active and energetic family to take her home. Ruby has been temperament tested. Her assessment card says she is highly social with both people and dogs. She takes her treats very gently and seems to be gentle around children but her energy level might be too much around toddlers. She is a sweet, affectionate dog and would make a great running buddy for anyone.

If you are looking for someone to keep you motivated to exercise during the winter, come and meet Ruby. She is at the Humane Society of Spokane, 6607 N. Havana St. The telephone number is 467-5235. Adoption fees are $84.00 and $80.00 depending on where you live. The fees include vaccinations, spay and license. The Humane Society is open seven days a week.
