NEW FACES

Davidson Trust Co. has hired Todd Edmonds as vice president, trust officer. He has 33 years of experience in trust and banking and previously worked at U.S. Bank. Edmonds holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho.

Gayle Higgins has been hired as a personal banking officer in the Spokane Valley branch of Intermountain Community Bank. She has over 20 years of banking experience and is also an ambassador for the Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The Arc Community Center has hired Megan Barker as the after-school specialist. She is a registered nurse’s assistant and is attending Spokane Community College.

Joyce Morgan has been hired as a sales associate in the Coeur d’Alene office of Windermere Real Estate. She holds a master’s degree in education from Oregon State University and previously worked as a business, health and home education teacher and volleyball coach.

Mike Chisum and Eric Johnson have been hired as sales associates at Tomlinson Black Valley.

Spokane Emergency Medicine has hired Dr. Christian Rocholl in the practice of pediatric emergency medicine. He is a graduate of State University of New York, Buffalo, completed an internship at Fletcher Allen Health Center and a residency at Primary Children’s Medical Center. Rocholl has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Preston Gates & Ellis has hired Laura McAloon as a senior associate in the firm’s public finance practice group. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law and previously clerked for Magistrate Judge Cynthia Imbrogno.

Steven Bertone has been hired as counsel in the intellectual property practice group of Preston Gates & Ellis. He attended Seattle University School of Law and is chair of the intellectual property section of the Spokane County Bar Association.

Market Vision Inc. has hired Cynthia Duren as business manager. She previously worked as a business manager at Citadel Broadcasting and is a graduate of Washington State University and Boise State University.

Kip Kobatake has been hired as a marketing assistant at Market Vision Inc. He previously worked as an intern for the company and holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Eastern Washington University.

Intermountain Community Bank has hired Steve Swanson as vice president and manager of the home loan and construction department. He has 25 years of banking experience.

Tim Villard has been hired at Intermountain Community Bank as a residential loan originator. He has over 30 years of experience in the Spokane real estate business.

PROMOTED

Steve Cree has been promoted to vice president of Sterling Savings Bank. He has been with the bank since 1998 and oversees processing activities. Cree holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Eastern Washington University.

Gary Vinneau has been promoted to assistant vice president of Action Mortgage. He has over 22 years of mortgage business experience and has managed the home loan center of the company since 2004. Vinneau is a graduate of the University of Montana.

Advanced Input Systems has promoted Al Yost to vice president and general manager. He has been with the company for three years and holds a master’s of business administration from Utah State University.

Cynthia Hammond, director of Lewis-Clark State College, Coeur d’Alene, has received the Woman of Distinction Award in Education from Soroptomist International of Coeur d’Alene.

Inland Medical and Rehab has been awarded the Best Medical Rehab Company at the Home Medical Equipment Excellence Awards. Frank Whitney is the company’s chief executive officer.

United Country—Lake Roosevelt Realty of Davenport has been awarded the United Country Summit Club award for its sales achievements through the third quarter of 2005. The company is owned by Sherie Wardian.

Simply Northwest has been recognized as one of America’s top 100 gift basket businesses for 2004 by the Gift Basket Review. The company is owned by De Scott, who received an award at the 2005 Jubilee Awards Gala for the recognition.

Derek Banning, an insurance and financial services agent at County Insurance, has received the National Quality Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Spokane Home Health Care has earned the Exemplary Provider Certificate and Accreditation from the Compliance Team Inc. The company specializes in personal mobility aids and respiratory care services.

Jay Suko has received a certificate of achievement for completing a sales professional seminar by Spartan Chemical Co. Suko works for Service Paper Co.

Jackie Brown, owner of Jack and Jill Hair Design, is celebrating 30 years in business. The salon is located at 910 W. Francis Ave.

GIFTS

Global Credit Union has held three fundraising events to benefit the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery. The credit union held a diaper drive from Nov. 1-18, a holiday gift sale on Nov. 22, and the bank is also selling copies of the movie “The Mantis Parable” through Dec. 31. The DVD is $12 and $6.50 of the cost goes to the nursery.
