Reyshawn Terry scored 25 points to help North Carolina jolt No. 10 Kentucky 83-79 on Saturday, giving the Tar Heels a big road victory that ended the Wildcats’ 11-game winning streak at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky.

It was a matchup of basketball teams that rank 1-2 in NCAA Division I in overall wins, and defending champion North Carolina showed it is still plenty dangerous despite a depleted roster. The Tar Heels lost the top seven scorers from the team that won it all last season – three to graduation and four to the NBA draft.

North Carolina (4-1) held off two second-half runs by Kentucky (5-2) to beat the Wildcats for the second straight season.

Kentucky, despite career highs in points from guards Rajon Rondo (20) and walk-on Ravi Moss (17), lost for the first time at home since falling 65-59 to Kansas on Jan. 9. Kentucky has been ranked in the top 10 of the last 39 AP polls, but that streak most likely will end next week.

(2) Texas 93, Texas-Arlington 55: Daniel Gibson scored a career-high 29 points and the Longhorns (7-0) routed the Mavericks (4-4) in Austin, Texas.

(4) Villanova 85, (5) Oklahoma 74: Randy Foye had a career-high 32 points to lead the Wildcats (4-0) past the Sooners (4-1) in Villanova, Pa., in the season’s first matchup of teams ranked in the top five.

Phillip Scott paced the Panthers with 19 points.

(8) Boston College 77, Sacred Heart 66: Jared Dudley scored a season-low 11 points, but he managed to surpass 1,000 in his career and added 12 rebounds as the Eagles (6-0) defeated the Pioneers (1-5) in Boston.

Craig Smith also had a double-double for BC with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

(9) Memphis 91, Cincinnati 81: Freshman Antonio Anderson hit 11 of 15 shots from the floor en route to a game-high 32 points as the Tigers (6-1) topped the Bearcats (3-2) in Cincinnati.

(11) Florida 80, Central Florida 47: Corey Brewer had 25 points, seven rebounds and five steals as the Gators (7-0) crushed the Golden Knights (4-1) in Gainesville, Fla.

The victory was No. 200 for Gators coach Billy Donovan, who became the fastest in school history to reach that mark. Florida also improved to 7-0 for just the third time, joining the 1951-52 and 1984-85 squads.

(12) Illinois 65, Xavier 62: Dee Brown tossed in 23 points and James Augustine scored 20 to help the Fighting Illini (7-0) rally from a 15-point deficit and hold off the Musketeers (3-1) in Chicago.

(17) Indiana 79, Eastern Michigan 63: Robert Vaden scored 18 points and freshman Ben Allen added a career-high 15 as the Hoosiers (4-1) beat the Eagles (1-3) in Bloomington, Ind.
