State B sponsors wanted

The Spokane Regional Sports Commission is looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor teams for the WIAA State B basketball tournament at the Spokane Arena on March 1-4, 2006.

Team sponsorship costs $250, which underwrites the State B breakfast and provides tournament programs for each team member. Team sponsors sit on the bench and are recognized before each of their team’s games, in the official tournament program and at the breakfast.

Women’s basketball

Ashlee Taylor (Freeman) scored 13 points and Emily Wittkopf (Mt. Spokane) added 11 as the Community Colleges of Spokane defeated the host Whitworth JV 70-42 in a non-league game. The Sasquatch improved to 5-3 overall.
