Santa, entourage will visit District 9 through Dec. 18

Santa and his friends from Spokane County District 9 will be visiting neighborhoods in their district through Dec. 18. Santa will be riding on a decorated vehicle and be accompanied by a fire engine. They will be handing out candy to the little ones and some of the stations will be collecting food for the Mead Food Bank.

Tonight: Santa and volunteers from Station 92 will take off at 6:30. They will be collecting food while Santa visits the Mead area, east of the railroad tracks, including Peone Prairie Estates toward Parksmith Road and Roundup Lane.

Friday: Beginning at 6:30 p.m., Station 92 will be collecting food, and Santa will visit the Forest Glen area up to the north entrance of Camelot, also the north side of Hastings Road including Hamilton Street, Carlson Lane and Perry Street.

Saturday: Station 92 starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be collecting food, while Santa visits the Camelot development.

Sunday: Station 92 starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be collecting food. Santa will visit the Shady Slope area including areas of Northwood Middle School and Farwell Elementary.

Wednesday: Station 98 starts at 6 p.m. Santa will visit the area east of Freya.

Next Thursday: Beginning at 6:30 p.m., station 92 will be collecting food, while Santa visits all sections of the Mead Royale neighborhood.

At 5:30 p.m. Station 95 will visit the Linwood area south of Holy Cross Cemetery from Francis and Division to Monroe.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Santa and Station 98 will visit the area west of Market Street.

Dec. 16: Station 93 starts at 6 p.m. Santa will visit the Nine Mile area near the dam.

At 5:30 p.m. Station 95 will visit the Linwood area south of Holy Cross Cemetery from Francis and Division to Country Homes.

Station 97 will start at 15222 N. Charles Road, go west on Shore Road and work its way west.

Dec. 17: Station 93 will start at 5 p.m. Santa will visit the Seven Mile area.

At 5:30 p.m. Station 95 will visit the Five Mile Prairie.

Station 96 and Santa will visit Scribner Road at 6:15 p.m.; Foothills Road at 6:30; Temple Road at 6:45; Lincoln and Forker Road at 7; Judkins at 7:15; and the station will have an open house from 7:30 to 8.

Dec. 18: Station 95 and Santa will visit the area off North Five Mile Road.
