Davis, Thomas lead Pullman past Moscow

Kelli Davis and Jessica Thomas each scored 10 points as Pullman’s girls earned a 36-30 win over Moscow in non-league basketball play Thursday at Moscow.

Kelsey Taylor had 12 points and seven rebounds for Moscow (2-6). Pullman improved to 3-1.

In other non-league action, Kayte Holm and Tara Davis had nine points each as visiting Riverside (2-3) held on for a 41-40 win over Timberlake (3-7) at Spirit Lake. … Spencer Thomason scored 22 points as Highland (4-6) beat Asotin (1-4) 46-40 at Craigmont. Mariel Ambroson led Asotin with 11 points.

Boys basketball

Moscow (2-1) held on for a 48-41 non-league victory over Pullman (1-1) at Moscow.

Gymnastics

Mt. Spokane’s Sarah Hansen won the balance beam competition and finished third in the floor exercise and vault to earn first place in the all-around in a Greater Spokane League meet at Shadle Park. Hansen finished with a total of 34.425 in the all-around, beating out Maya Morgan (33.725) and Maria Alderman (33.6), both of Central Valley. CV earned the team victory, finishing with 159.425 points. Shadle was second at 151.5, North Central third at 143.75 and Mt. Spokane fourth at 137.375.
