Where to recycle your tree when it’s time

The Spokesman-Review

The holidays aren’t over yet, but it’s not too soon to be thinking about what to do with the Christmas tree in your living room. Several Spokane Valley high school programs will be collecting recycled holiday trees this year to raise money.

When: West Valley, Central Valley and University band and color guard programs, Jan. 7 and 8, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; East Valley High School Senior All-Knighter, Dec. 29 and 30, 3-7 p.m., Dec. 31, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Jan. 5 and 6, 3-7 p.m., Jan. 7, 9-1 p.m.

What it costs: $5 if you drop it off at all locations; $10 if Central Valley students pick up the tree at your door; East Valley is offering pickups for $7.

How: Remove all ornaments, lights, etc., and decide if you want it picked up, or if you want to haul it in yourself.

For pickup: Call West Valley High School, 926-5823; Central Valley High School, 228-5168; or University High School, 228-5307; East Valley, 218-4521 or 928-8195. Please call prior to collection dates.
