For most of the year, Santa is keeping an eye on children from the North Pole, separating the naughty from the nice, making a list, checking it twice. But as Christmas nears, Santa needs to take a closer look. So he and his helpers make the rounds in person, visiting malls and hospitals, and even whisking some homeless children to a North Pole replica built in a Spokane airplane hangar. It’s that magical time of year when Santa seems to be everywhere. How does Santa find the time to be everywhere at once, and still oversee his army of industrious elves wrapping presents in his polar workshop? The answer is simple: It’s magic.
