Churches adjust their schedules

The New Year is upon us, and once again Valley churches are changing their worship schedules in recognition of the holiday.

It’s a good idea to check to see if your church is one of them, since several are either changing worship times or offering a reduced number of services.

• Christ Lutheran Church will host a combined worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The church is at 13009 E. Broadway Ave.

• One worship service will be offered at 10 a.m. Sunday at Millwood Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Road.

• Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond Road, will have only one service – at 10 a.m. Sunday.

• A single worship service will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th Ave.

• Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 810 S. Sullivan Road, will have one service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Christian concert

Valleypoint at Pines is planning to host two concerts by Scoob Serious, a former gang member who now sings Christian music.

The first concert will begin at 8 tonight and last until midnight. The second concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 13, also at the church, 714 S. Pines Road.

The performances are free, but donations will be accepted.
