Churches adjust their schedules

The New Year is upon us, and once again Valley churches are changing their worship schedules in recognition of the holiday.

It’s a good idea to check to see if your church is one of them, since several are either changing worship times or offering a reduced number of services.

Christ Lutheran Church will host a combined worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The church is at 13009 E. Broadway Ave.

• One worship service will be offered at 10 a.m. Sunday at Millwood Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Road.

Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond Road, will have only one service – at 10 a.m. Sunday.

• A single worship service will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th Ave.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 810 S. Sullivan Road, will have one service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Christian concert

Valleypoint at Pines is planning to host two concerts by Scoob Serious, a former gang member who now sings Christian music.

The first concert will begin at 8 tonight and last until midnight. The second concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 13, also at the church, 714 S. Pines Road.

The performances are free, but donations will be accepted.
