Queen Mum Red Hat Honeys – This group is having its third annual Soup, Bread and Dessert Gathering Feb. 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the Eagles Lodge, 315 E. Low Income Tax Aid – The Spokane Valley Senior Center, 11423 E. Mission Ave., is offering tax aid from AARP volunteer staff starting Saturday and continuing through April 13. Love Letters Dinner Theater – The Southside Senior Activity Center, 3151 E. 27th Ave., is hosting this dinner theater event on Wednesday. Social hour will begin at 5 p.m. and the curtain goes up at 5:30. Dinner includes either sweetheart steak or chicken cordon bleu, twice baked potatoes and pink cake. Tickets are $8. Medicare Prescription Drug Discount Card and Transitional Assistance – Elder Services and Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington is offering counseling about the new Medicare Legislation. Many seniors may be eligible for a free discount card and $600 toward their medications. If your yearly income is at or below $12,569 for singles and $16,862 for couples you could be eligible.
