Baseball/Softball

Sign up: Registration is open for Spokane North Little League for ages 7-14. Drop-in registration sites are at North County Library on Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Shadle Park Library on Feb. 12 from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $80 for ages 7-12 for an 18-game season and $90 for ages 13-14 for a 20-game season. Skijoring

Spokane County Regional Animal Care & Protection Services (SCRAPS) and Volunteers Offering Intermediate Care & Enrichment (VOICE) are sponsoring free Skijoring classes. Each Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the SCRAPS animal shelter staff and volunteers offer an introductory class on Skijoring basics such as equipment and technique. Skijoring is the combination of cross country skiing and dog mushing, in which the dog is connected to the cross country skier with a bungie cord and pulling harness. Fees: Free. Info: 477-2752.

Unified recreation

Continuing: Spokane Parks Department offers a variety of activities year-round for those who are developmentally challenged. Info: 625-6200.

Walking/Running
