By age 25, you can drink and vote, but you’ll have a hard time renting a car.
Many car-rental companies either won’t rent to under-25 customers or charge hefty fees to do so, no matter what their driving records look like. The companies say it doesn’t make good business sense to rent to young customers because the accident rate among those drivers is significantly higher than in other age groups.
