Spokane Public Facilities District

2 p.m., Tuesday, district administrative office, 720 W. Mallon, review of Convention Center expansion and a decorative fountain.

Spokane Valley City Council

6 p.m., Tuesday, City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave. Topics include: noise regulations, Pines/Mansfield intersection, alternatives to incarceration and discussion of annexation to the Spokane County Library District. Public comment will be taken.

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave. Winter retreat, topics include: updated financial forecast, 2006 budget, strategic planning, city project list for 2006, managed competition and legislative issues. The retreat is open to the public, but a public comment period isn’t scheduled.

Spokane County Commissioners

9 a.m., Tuesday, weekly meeting with the county’s CEO, Spokane County Courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave. The agenda includes small town law enforcement and Valley pools.

10:30 a.m., Tuesday, briefing on wastewater treatment.

2 p.m., commissioners’ weekly meeting on nonhearing items, Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway Ave.

Spokane Regional Transportation Council

1:30 p.m., Thursday, SRTC, 221 W. First Ave., Suite 310. The agenda includes updates on Bridging the Valley and the downtown streetcar study.

Spokane Park Board

1:30 p.m., Thursday, council chambers, City Hall, consideration of $1 fee for summer youth swimming and other items.
