Tigers too much for Bulldogs

Seimone Augustus had 18 points, and the top-ranked LSU Tigers (21-1, 8-0 SEC) held the Mississippi State Bulldogs (14-8, 3-5) scoreless for almost 14 minutes during the first half in a 67-40 victory on Sunday in Starkville, Miss.

The Southeastern Conference’s stingiest defense held the Bulldogs to just nine first-half points and kept Tan White, the nation’s leading scorer (22.6), in check on 6-of-23 shooting for 20 points.
