The state of Washington stands to lose nearly $430 million in revenue over the next two years because of last week’s court ruling that wiped out the state estate tax. That amount includes both the potential refund of previously collected taxes and lost income that had been anticipated from that source in the coming biennium. An editorial published Monday incorrectly said that the $430 million would be in refunds alone.
