Bi-County: Lind-Ritzville’s boys barely hung on to the league championship, with a two-point win over Almira/Coulee-Hartline on the last day of the regular season, keeping the fourth-ranked Broncos (19-1, 17-1) one game ahead of sixth-ranked Northwest Christian (18-2, 16-2). Sixth-ranked ACH (18-2, 17-1) hung on to the girls regular-season title, with a one-game advantage over eighth-ranked Sprague-Harrington (17-3, 16-2). The league tournaments begin Friday for the girls and Saturday for the boys. Four of the eight qualify for the Northeast District tournament. … Panorama: First-round action on the girls side of the Panorama had only one close game, North No. 3 seed Republic (12-8) knocking off South No. 2 Selkirk (10-11) 45-42 in overtime. In the girls semifinals Friday, Republic travels to ninth-ranked Curlew (19-2). The Cougars already beat Republic twice this season, both by 12 points. The other semifinal will be Inchelium (17-4) at No. 1 Cusick (20-1). These two also met twice, with the Panthers sweeping Inchelium during the regular season. Four teams from the boys and girls side advance into the Northeast District tournament. … Whitman County: The league tournament runs Friday and Saturday at Endicott. Friday’s five games start at 2:30 and finish with Asotin and Rosalia’s boys facing off at 7. Saturday’s games pit the second- and third-place teams in boys and girls facing off. Four teams go on to the Southeast District, which start Wednesday, where they meet teams from the Blue Mountain Conference. From there two teams go on to the State B Tournament March 2-5 at the Spokane Arena.
