HB 1276 – Requiring the Governor to Sign Significant Regulations: To require the governor’s signature on a regulation that qualifies as a significant legislative regulation of an agency whose leaders are appointed by the governor. The bill passed the House 93-1 on Monday.

The bill passed the House 63-22 on Monday.

HB 1625 – Employee References: To protect employers from criminal and civil lawsuits when in good faith they provide information about a former or current employee to a prospective employer. The presumption of good faith may only be challenged upon a showing by clear and convincing evidence that the information disclosed by the employer was knowingly false, deliberately misleading, or made with reckless disregard for the truth. The bill passed the House 92-6 on Friday.

HB 1515 – Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation: To prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. The bill passed the House 61-37 on Friday.
