Beginning gardening classes offered
This series is for those who are starting out in gardening or who are new to gardening conditions in the Inland Northwest. These introductory classes on gardening techniques and plant materials are designed to help the inexperienced gardener plan a home yard and garden and make it flourish.
The garden practices taught will also help gardeners practice water conservation and reduce use of pesticides and fertilizers.
Taught by experienced Washington State University Master Gardener Volunteers, each class is full of tips and techniques learned through experience and supported by university research.
The cost is $30 per individual or family for the series and parents are encouraged to bring children over age 10. Each class provides hands-on demonstrations and displays. Refreshments and handouts are included in the fee. Pre-registration is recommended, as class size is limited.
