Easter Bonnet Parade – The Spokane Valley Senior Center, 11423 E. Mission, is offering a bonnet decorating workshop on March 7 at 1 p.m. Bring your own bonnet and decorations. On March 23, everyone can show off their bonnets during an afternoon dance and bonnet parade. For information, call the center at 926-1937.

Low Income Tax Aid – The Spokane Valley Senior Center, 11423 E. Mission, is offering tax aid from AARP volunteer staff through April 13. Volunteers will be available Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For information, call the center at 926-1937.

Aging and Long-term Care of Eastern Washington – The planning and management council usually meets the fourth Friday of each month from 1-3:30 p.m. at 1222 N. Post St. For more information, call 458-2509.

Beginning Spanish Class – Presented by the Institute for Extended Learning Seniors Program, this class meets every Monday through March 21 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Corbin Senior Center, 827 W. Cleveland. The cost is $34. For information call the seniors program at 279-6025.

Medicare Prescription Drug Discount Card and Transitional Assistance – Elder Services and Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington is offering counseling about the new Medicare Legislation. Many seniors may be eligible for a free discount card and $600 toward their medications. If your yearly income is at or below $12,569 for singles and $16,862 for couples you could be eligible.
