Sprague-Harrington caught fire in the second quarter to win a showdown between unbeaten Bi-County League teams, scoring a 53-30 victory over Liberty at Spangle on Tuesday.

The Lancers held S-H to just two points in the first quarter, but the Falcons took wing in the second, outscoring Liberty 19-9 to take a lead they never relinquished.

Roni Jo Mielke led all scorers with 15 points to lead Sprague-Harrington (7-1, 6-0), with Abby Hatten adding 11 points, nine off 3-point field goals.

Liberty (5-2, 5-1) got nine points from both Amber Troyer and Shannon Davis.

Lind-Ritzville 46, Odessa 28: The Broncos (2-4, 2-2) shot 50 percent from the floor (22 of 44) to sail to the comfortable victory at Odessa. Mikaela Schmunk scored 10 points to lead Lind-Ritzville. Lauren Fink led all scorers with 11 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Tigers (1-5, 1-5). … Almira/Coulee-Hartline 58, Davenport 36: The Warriors romped through the fourth quarter, outscoring the home-standing Gorillas 24-8 in the period. Michelle Balcom tossed in 16 points, with Kami Clark contributing 12 and Molly Gwinn 11, to lead ACH (5-0, 4-0). Kari Klaas scored 11 points to lead Davenport (4-4, 3-3). … Northwest Christian 46, Valley Christian 37: Sara Fairburn poured in 21 points to lead the Crusaders (2-5, 1-4) to the victory in Spokane. Valley Christian (2-6, 1-5) got a dozen points from Hillary Joyce and 10 more from Emily Oliver. … Wilbur-Creston 48, Reardan 42: The Wildcats (3-4, 3-2) converted on 23 of 33 shots from the free-throw line to score the home-court victory over the Indians (2-6, 1-5).

Carson’s sparks Inchelium

Steven Carson scored 14 points to lead the Hornets (7-3, 3-1) to a 66-25 Panorama League victory over visiting Springdale (3-7, 1-3). Melissa Dick added 12 points and Chelsi Pakootas contributed 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Holbrook’s 26 sinks Rosalia

The Vikings trailed by a field goal after one quarter, only to catch fire and cruise to a 54-34 Whitman County League victory over visiting Rosalia. Holli Holbrook poured in 26 points and Monica Boone added 15 to lead Garfield-Palouse (9-0, 2-0). Rosalia fell to 0-2 in league, 3-7 overall. … Colton 64, Asotin 39: Sammie Druffel tossed in 14 points and Rochelle Druffel added another 10 to lead the Wildcats (3-6, 1-2) over the Panthers (3-6, 1-2). … Tekoa-Oakesdale 50, St. John-Endicott: The Nighthawks (5-2, 3-0) outscored Sprague-Harrington 28-18 in the second half to score the win on the road. Casey Smith pumped in 17 points to lead Tekoa-Oakesdale. Katie Corder led St. John-Endicott (7-3, 2-1) with 10 points.

Turnovers doom Medical Lake

Kettle Falls used second-half turnovers to score a 53-44 at Medical Lake. Tasia Tracy scored 19 points and made five steals to lead the Bulldogs (8-4), with Liz Beardslee adding another 10 points. Richelle Daily and Miranda Spilker scored 15 and 13 points, respectively, to lead the Cardinals (4-2). … Riverside 71, St. George’s 23: The Rams (7-0) remained undefeated by crushing the Dragons in Spokane. St. George’s fell to 4-4 overall. … Deer Park 56, Newport 48: Rachel McNeil scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Laura Gibson poured in 17 points and made five steals to lead the Stags (6-1). Maria Barranco led all scorers with 20 points for Newport (5-3), scoring 11 in the fourth quarter. … Pullman 49, Colfax 33: The Greyhounds (5-3) shot 73 percent from the field in the first half, 48 percent for the game in a win over the Bulldogs (5-5). Kelli Davis had 18 points to lead Pullman. … LaCrosse-Washtucna 72, Liberty Christian 61: The Tigercats (4-3) took a 38-20 lead at intermission and never looked back in a win over the Patriots.

Hawks win in upset

Lakeland scored a 46-44 upset victory at Coeur d’Alene, earning the Hawks their first Inland Empire League victory and handing the Vikings their first league loss. Lakeland took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring Coeur d’Alene 19-10. Kayla Stiegemeier scored 13 points, with Brigitte Boucher contributing 11 and Mindy Meyer 10, to lead the Hawks (7-5, 1-4 IEL). Jenna Griffitts scored 18 points, hitting 5 of 6 from the free throw line in the process, to pace the Vikings (10-2, 5-1) … Lewiston 55, Post Falls 47: The Bengals (6-6, 3-3), stormed into Post Falls and connected on eight 3-point field goals to scuttle the Trojans (2-9, 0-6). Lisa Cannon scored all of her dozen points on 3-pointers for Lewiston.
