New iPod expected
Computer analysts widely expect Apple Computer to introduce a new, flash memory-based iPod when CEO Steve Jobs greets Macintosh fans at the MacWorld show tomorrow. Unlike the iPod, which uses a hard disk for storing songs, a flash player relies on flash memory for its storage. While the new iPod Photo can hold up to 15,000 songs, a flash-memory player would top out at about 100 songs and cost between $99 and $149.
