They’ll frame it at PrintStop

 (The Spokesman-Review)

Tracy Stenlund and her husband, Bill, own the new PrintStop store in the Spokane Valley Mall, but they do more than sell frames for pictures.

“We do custom framing and we sell posters and prints,” she said. “We’ll frame pretty much anything.”

And she does mean anything. One of the items she was once asked to frame was a golf club. “We’ve framed a hummingbird nest and we framed an old antique purse.”

The couple opened the shop in November. They’ve owned the PrintStop in Moscow, Idaho, since 1996. They were looking to expand and had checked out the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene areas. They settled on the Valley Mall after Marketing Director Lesa Berry, an acquaintance, suggested the location. “She knew the mall needed a picture shop like this,” Stenlund said.

The Moscow store is also in a mall and Stenlund knew the Valley Mall would provide the foot traffic she needs. “This mall at the time didn’t have a poster shop,” she said. “We wanted to come in with some affordable posters.”

She runs the Valley store with the help of two part-time employees while her husband runs the Moscow store. “He does the framing for both stores,” she said. “He travels back and forth every week.”
