Westerberg sparks Sun Devils

Emily Westerberg, a Central Valley High grad, scored a career-high 26 points, including 17 in the second half, to lead Arizona State past Oregon 74-65 Saturday in Pac-10 play in Tempe, Ariz.
Catherine Kraayeveld had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Oregon (12-6, 4-4). The Ducks have been swept by Arizona and Arizona State in Arizona for five consecutive years.
Arizona State (14-5, 6-3) went on a 19-6 run to take a 47-36 lead with 8:14 left and the Ducks never got closer than six.
Kylan Loney added 13, including three 3-pointers during the key run, for Arizona State, who have won four of its last five.
Westerberg, whose previous offensive best was 22 against Stanford on Jan. 7, also had five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a blocked shot. She made all eight of her free throws in the final 7 minutes.
The Sun Devils scored 27 points off of 25 Duck turnovers.
