Biggest surprise: David Pendergraft

This 6-foot-6, 218-pound freshman, from tiny Brewster High School, seemed destined to redshirt this season, but was pressed into duty because of an injury to Erroll Knight. He has made the most of his opportunity and is averaging 11.9 minutes, 3.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Even as a rookie, he knows the importance of defending.
