Hospice of Spokane – Volunteer training begins March 2 on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for two weeks. An evening course begins April 4 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. for four weeks. For information, contact Jim at 456-0438.

Cancer Patient Care – High school garage bands, dance groups, theater groups or other talents are needed to entertain crowds at the Lareen Miller Bike Ride in June. Interviews will be conducted. For information, contact Marian at 456-0446 or e-mail mariant@cancerpatientcare.org.

People’s Clinic – Detail-oriented and positive people are needed for a minimum of four hours per week. Duties will include filing, collating, copying, packet preparation and data entry. For information, contact Dawn at 755-7624 or e-mail dawnd@wsu.edu.

Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge – Volunteers are needed to become environmental education facilitators to provide outreach to the public through fairs, classroom presentations and other events in the community. For information, call Sandra at 235-4723 or sandy_rancourt@fws.gov.

Wishing Star Foundation – Energetic volunteers are needed to serve as officers and board members or to serve on committees that focus on fundraising. For information, call 744-3411.
