Angela Hartill netted 20 points as Riverside held off Deer Park 56-48 in the Great Northern League Friday night in Deer Park.

The game was tied at 41 with 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter before Riverside (12-2, 5-2) went on a 15-7 run to close out the game. Laura Gibson led the Stags (10-4, 3-3) with 17 points.

Riverside shot 15 of 20 from the line while the Stags were 10 of 22.

Chewelah 67, Medical Lake 37: Sarah Scates had 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting and the Chewelah defense forced ML into 23 turnovers as the Cougars (12-2, 5-1) crushed the Cardinals (5-8, 1-5) in Medical Lake.

Freeman D too much for Bulldogs

Jesse DePell had 19 points and Ashlee Taylor added 16 as Freeman (13-2, 4-0) routed Kettle Falls (9-8, 1-3) 60-37 in Kettle Falls. Freeman held the Bulldogs to 20 percent shooting from the floor. … Colfax 43, Newport 28: The Bulldogs (12-6, 3-1) shut down Maria Barranco and the Grizzlies’ offense en route to win in Colfax. The Bulldogs had 19 steals and held Newport (8-9, 0-4) to 24 percent shooting.

Nicole Miller had 19 points and eight rebounds, Amanda Grumbach had a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards, and Brittany Strandberg added 16 points, six steals and eight assists as North Division-leading Curlew (16-1, 11-1) coasted past Wellpinit (10-7, 7-5) 59-38 in Curlew. Samantha Flett led the Redskins with 13 points. … Republic 44, Northport 20: Republic’s defense held the Mustangs in check as the Tigers (9-7, 7-5) rolled to a win at Northport. Down by nine heading after three quarters, Davenport outscored Northwest Christian 17-2 in the fourth to come away with a 43-37 victory over visiting the visiting Crusaders (6-9, 5-8). Kari Klaas’ three-point play with a minute left put Davenport (9-6, 8-5) up for good and Mallory Mielke, who finished with a game-high 19 points, hit three free throws with 40 seconds left to ice it. … Almira/Coulee-Hartline 49, Wilbur-Creston 40: Molly Gwinn had 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Warriors (13-2, 12-1) held off the Wildcats (4-11, 4-9) in Hartline. … Liberty 60, Lind-Ritzville 36: Jessica Hahner had 16 points and Shawn Hennessey added 15 as the Lancers (10-5, 10-3) upended the Broncos (7-8, 7-6) at Liberty.
