Kids swim suits offered at centers

Thanks to the generosity of the Spokane Parks Foundation and citizen groups, children will be getting free swimming suits this summer.

The foundation has purchased suits for all ages and sizes, and the swim suits are being distributed through community centers, based on the model of the Coats for Kids program.

The foundation has received approximately $5,000 in donations for the program, including a $1,000 grant from Spokane Downtown Rotary Club 21 and a $2,000 gift from the David and Dorothy Pierce Charitable Trust.

Financial donations are still being accepted, and NorthTown Mall continues to accept donations of new swim suits for kids at its customer service desk.
