Tell us about good neighbors
All neighbors are not created equal. Most are content to live in peaceful co-existence, some might not live up to expectations, and there will always be the truly great neighbor willing to lend a cup of sugar or a hammer, or a hand.
Those who take the time to connect the community deserve special recognition, especially in today’s fast-paced era when housewarming parties and curbside barbecues have fallen by the wayside.
To help honor these special members of our community, we need your help.
The17th annual Spokesman-Review Good Neighbor contest is now under way and we need you to single out that special neighbor who seems a cut above the rest.
Every year winners of previous contests help pick a new winner from your submissions. This year, as before, we will select three winners – a North Side resident, a South Side resident and someone living in the Valley.
Winners will get a catered block party thrown in their honor for the whole neighborhood to enjoy.
This contest can’t work without participation from our readers, so we’re counting on you to take a few moments to tell us about your neighbor. Be specific. Tell us what they do to help you or others in your neighborhood. Tell us why they should be the one chosen for recognition. And tell us in 250 words or less before Aug. 11.
