When the weather heats up, ice cream and other frozen treats are always at the top of the shopping list. There’s something fundamentally satisfying about cooling off with a dripping ice-cream cone or ice pop on a really hot day.

If you’re in the mood for something a little fancier, you can layer ice cream and various toppings, fruit fillings and whipped cream to make special sundaes or parfaits.

• Save $1 on any 56-oz. carton of Edy’s Slow Churned Light Ice Cream or 50 cents on any two cartons of any Edy’s product. Expires Aug. 27.

• Godiva offers a 50-cent coupon on any of its ice creams or sorbets in any size. Expires Aug. 15.

• Nestle has a $1 coupon on any two packages of Drumstick, Crunch, Butterfinger or Toll-House prepackaged ice-cream cones, including two new flavors: Chocolate Mint and Peanut Butter Fudge. Expires Aug. 31.

• Smucker’s offers a 25-cent coupon on any of its Sundae Singles, individual portions of toppings that can be heated in the microwave. Expires Aug. 31.

• Save $1 on any two of Betty Crocker’s Parlor Perfect ice-cream toppings. Expires Sept. 30.

• Save 50 cents on any can of Reddi-wip chocolate whipped cream and 30 cents on a can of regular whipped cream. Expires Aug. 31.

• Healthy Choice has a $1 coupon on any ice cream or frozen novelty. Expires Aug. 31.

• Save 50 cents on any Better for Kids Frozen Novelty or Snapple on Ice in regular or diet flavors. Expires July 31.
