COP shops hosts annual picnic

Join COPS Northwest, COPS West and COPS North Central for the annual neighborhood picnic from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Audubon Park.

There will be music, games for the kids, and drawings for prizes offered by area businesses.

Free hot dogs and soft drinks will be served.

Parents are invited to enroll in the family ID program and register bicycles.

It’s an opportunity to learn about the Block Watch Program, how to protect your home and yourself from intruders, how to protect your neighborhood against drug and party houses and what community policing can do for you.

It’s also an opportunity to learn about the 22nd annual National Night Out Against Crime scheduled for Tuesday

“The Neva-Wood COPS will meet at 6:30 p.m. next Thursday at 4705 N. Addison St. Refreshments will be provided. Parking is available across the street and to the east at the Zion Church.
