3:30 p.m. Monday, Council Chambers, City Hall, briefing on Aug. 8 agenda and approval of routine items.

6 p.m. Monday, Council Chambers, City Hall, approval of settlement with Perkins Coie law firm over River Park Square parking garage case.

Spokane County commissioners

9:30 a.m. Tuesday, weekly meeting with the county CEO, conference room 2B, Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway Ave. The agenda includes discussion of a helmet law, county facilities, court commissioner salaries and the Bidwell pool.

2 p.m. Tuesday, weekly meeting, commissioners’ hearing room, lower level, Public Works Building. This week’s agenda includes a decision on vote-by-mail elections.

4 p.m. Tuesday, hearing on whether to lower county gambling taxes, commissioners’ hearing room.

Spokane Valley City Council

The council will not meet Tuesday because of National Night Out.

Spokane Valley Planning Commission

6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, the commission will continue its deliberations on the new Comprehensive Plan, City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave.

Spokane Community Assembly of Neighborhoods

4 p.m. Friday, council briefing center, lower level of City Hall, review of neighborhood issues.
