President’s Cup at Liberty Lake

It’s catchup time for local ladies golf league action over the past couple of weeks.

Liberty Lake Ladies 18-Hole Club is in the middle of its three-week President’s Cup tournament, but most recent medal play saw Jill Grover shoot a 94 in A flight.

Gloria Cash led B flight with 100 and Alice Shattuck led C with 104.

Net winners were Jean Hatcher in A flight with 77, Connie Hatfield with 75 in B and Raouleen Grimes with 76 in C.

MeadowWood 18-Hole Club played putt-putt this past week. Patsy Lynn won with 28, two fewer than runnerup Paulette Zuehike. Marie Nelson and

Caroline Arnot

each took 31.

During Liberty Lake 9-Hole competition, Karen Strauss shot 44 in first flight and Audrey Vanos netted 32.

Nellie Ackerman

shot 57 in second flight and Deanna Hauser netted 38. In third flight Frances Martin shot 61 and Wilma Capaul netted 38.

Trailhead Ladies Golf was led by Joyce Jacobs with a low gross 46 in A flight. Hauser netted 32. Capaul shot 54 in B flight and Bev Johnson netted 29.

C flight went to Patty Haskins with 57 and Grace Libby netted 30. Bobbie Parent, who had a chip-in, won no-handicap division with 59.

During Painted Hills League play, Carol Blume had a score of 43 to lead A flight competition. Liz Grafos shot 50 in B.

Carol Grebe with 57 won C low gross and Bonnie Riddle had 58 in D.

Julie Quillin lowered her no-handicap score to 54.

Net winners were Linda Garves with 32 in A, Jean Jones with 32 in B, Lynn Knight with 36 in C and Emma Long with 32 in D.

Hangman Valley 18-Hole Ladies Club conducted the third week of Captain’s Cup and putting competition. Gloria Cash was low net with a 63 and also had the fewest putts with 30. Kathy Schneider was right behind her with 31.
