Spokane triumphs

Nick Froman singled home Bryan Winston with one out in the ninth inning Tuesday night to give the Spokane RiverHawks a 3-2 win over the Bend Elks in a West Coast Collegiate League opener at Spokane Falls Community College.

Jeff Goodall won for the RiverHawks (2-1 overall).
