The Arc of Spokane has hired Tammela Namet as a financial management counselor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Washington University.

Bob Calhoun has been hired as a Realtor at Exit Real Estate-Jones & Associates. He previously worked in automotive repair management.

Exit Real Estate-Jones & Associates has hired Toni Alltus as a Realtor. She previously worked in real estate appraisal.

Jeff Karger Sr. has been hired as a Realtor at Exit Real Estate-Jones & Associates. He previously worked at Columbia Paint and Coating.

Integrus Architecture has hired Christine Freeman as a marketing assistant. She recently received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Whitworth College.

Shanon Rieman has been hired as training manager at Global Credit Union. She has 14 years of experience in banking and previously worked at Spokane Teachers Credit Union.

Tomlinson Black Valley has hired sales associates Steve Carpenter, Scott Lewis, Jayme Myers and Brian Mildebrandt.

Jerome Hunsanger has been hired as senior financial consultant at Harbor Financial Services. He previously worked as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and has over 25 years of financial experience.

Northwest Heart & Lung Surgical Associates has hired Jana Day as a certified physician assistant. She is a 2003 graduate of the University of Washington and has been accepted for membership with the Spokane County Medical Society.

Dr. Robert Pfeffer has been hired at Cancer Care Northwest in the radiation oncology department. He is a 1985 graduate of the University of Washington, completed his internship at Deaconess Medical Center and his residency at Oregon Health Sciences. He has also recently been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Rockwood Clinic has hired Dr. Steven Johnson in the emergency medicine department. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Washington, completed his internship at Virginia Mason Hospital and his residency at Swedish Hospital. He has also recently been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Dr. Kenelm Herschel Jr. has been hired at Anesthesiology Inc. as an anesthesiologist. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Texas, Southwestern, completed his internship at the University of Oklahoma and his residency of the University of Texas. Herschel has also been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Cancer Care Northwest has hired Sylvia Lundquist as a senior accountant. She has 10 years of experience as a certified public accountant.

Dawn Sayers has been hired as a patient financial counselor at Cancer Care Northwest. She has three years of experience in a medical office.

Purcell Systems Inc. has hired John Hengesh as chief financial officer. He was previously the vice president and general manager of the water and public power market group at Itron, Inc. and has worked in management since 1984.

Len Jessup has been permanently appointed president of the Washington State University Foundation and vice president for university development. He has been serving in these roles on an acting basis since March.

The Valley office of Windermere Real Estate has hired Susan Hewson as a sales associate. She previously worked as a banker at Wells Fargo Bank.

Natalya Shcherbina has been hired as a sales associate in the Valley office of Windermere Real Estate. She previously worked as a communications intern at Avista.

Dr. Regina Poedrou, a psychologist at Eastern State Hospital, has recently celebrated her 40th year in service to the state of Washington.

RETIRING

Dr. Don Barlow has retired from Community Colleges of Spokane. He will now work as a therapist at L.I.F.E. Counseling Group.
