Gardens meant for inside, out
For some, just working in the garden all summer long isn’t enough. There are those who need both a garden and a project or two.
Better Homes and Gardens’, “Garden Style Projects: Decorating Ideas for Indoors and Out,” is a good resource for anyone who wants to bring the outdoors in, or bring a little of the comfort of the indoors, outside.
With chapters covering topics like “Fresh-air Living,” “Furniture and Finds,” and “Relaxed Entertaining,” and plenty of color photographs, it’s easy to get inspired by the fun themes and colorful rooms illustrated in the book.
Most how-to projects involve things you probably have around the house, like clay pots, pretty printed tablecloths and old garden tools, and there are instructions for “aging” new garden items to give them that been-in-the-garden-for-years look.
You can find tips for making slipcovers for your dining room chairs, as well creating a child’s headboard out of an old garden gate or new picket-fence panels.
“Garden Style Projects…,” is a fun read, packed with pretty pictures and provides plenty of ideas for adding a little garden style to your own home.
