Devil Rays 5, Yankees 3: At New York, Nick Green hit a go-ahead, three-run home run and Scott Kazmir allowed four hits in seven innings to lead Tampa Bay to a win over New York.

White Sox 5, Royals 1: At Chicago, Mark Buehrle (9-1) won his career-high eighth straight decision, and Carl Everett backed him with a three-run homer to lead the White Sox past Kansas City for their seventh straight victory.

Red Sox 5, Indians 4: At Cleveland, Edgar Renteria’s RBI double in the ninth inning off Bob Wickman helped Boston complete a three-game sweep of Cleveland. Renteria and John Olerud hit solo homers and Keith Foulke (5-3) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings for the Red Sox.

Blue Jays 3, Orioles 2: At Toronto, Pete Walker won as a starter for the first time since 2002, leading Toronto over Baltimore. Baltimore’s Rafael Palmeiro hit his 561st career homer, two from tying Reggie Jackson for ninth all-time.

Tigers 8, Twins 1: At Minneapolis, Nate Robertson pitched Detroit’s second complete game in a row and Omar Infante had a home run and three RBIs to lead the Tigers over slumping Minnesota.

Angels 6, Rangers 0: At Los Angeles, Jarrod Washburn combined with two relievers on a six-hitter, and Los Angeles dealt Kenny Rogers his first loss in 10 decisions to complete a three-game sweep over Texas.

National League

Nationals 5, Pirates 4: At Pittsburgh, Jose Guillen had his second two-homer game of the three-game series, and Brian Schneider hit a go-ahead single in the eighth to lead Washington over Pittsburgh.

Reds 7, Cardinals 6: At Cincinnati, Adam Dunn led off two straight innings with home runs as the Reds overpowered slumping Mark Mulder in a win over St. Louis.

Astros 6, Rockies 2: At Houston, Roger Clemens pitched seven strong innings for his 334th win and Morgan Ensberg hit a three-run homer as Houston completed a three-game sweep of Colorado.

Braves 8, Marlins 0: At Atlanta, Andruw Jones hit his league-leading 21st homer, a two-run shot, and Braves starter Horacio Ramirez (6-4) pitched five shutout innings before leaving with a strained groin in a win over Florida.

Phillies 8, Mets 4: At Philadelphia, Chase Utley had a go-ahead RBI single in a six-run seventh, Jim Thome homered and Kenny Lofton had a three-run double in a win over New York.

Brewers 9, Cubs 4: At Milwaukee, Carlos Lee started an eight-run second with a three-run homer, then added a solo shot in the seventh in a win over Chicago.

Dodgers 6, Padres 4: At San Diego, Jayson Werth hit a game-tying solo home run in the sixth and sealed the win for Los Angeles with an RBI double in the ninth.

Giants 4, Diamondbacks 0: At San Francisco, Jason Schmidt struck out 10 and extended his scoreless innings streak to 17 in a win over Arizona. Moises Alou added three hits for the Giants.
