Question: Can I create a Windows desktop shortcut that automatically opens a new message addressed to my boss?
Answer: Yes, you can. Right-click on the desktop, select New and then Shortcut. In the “Type the location of the item” box, enter mailto: and the recipient’s e-mail address. It will look something like, mailto: boss@companyname.com. Click Next and name the shortcut. Click OK. Double-clicking the shortcut should open a message automatically addressed to your boss.
