Passenger arrested on warrants

The Spokesman-Review

A passenger in a car caught speeding through an Interstate 90 work zone was arrested Thursday after police discovered he was wanted.

Police pulled over the car as it sped through the reduced speed zone near the new pedestrian bridge construction site near Liberty Lake, said police spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan.

The passenger reportedly gave police false names before they identified him as 30-year-old David L. Conway of 1518 E. Pacific Ave., Reagan said. Conway was wanted on warrants charging him with possession of dangerous drugs and escape from community custody, and was arrested. Police also allegedly found a small amount of methamphetamine in Conway’s clothing.

The driver, Conway’s roommate Ryan S. Curtis, 29, did not have a driver’s license, Reagan said. He was cited for second-degree driving with no valid operator’s license and failure to carry proof of insurance.
