Tech Q&A The Spokesman-Review

Q: Question: My son is getting married and some relatives cannot attend. Is it possible to use my son’s laptop and a webcam so that they can see the wedding on a computer?

A: To do a basic broadcast, you need a computer, a camera and a broadband connection. You could use an instant messaging program that supports video such as Windows Messenger, MSN Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger. This sends the video to one computer where the relatives could gather and watch. But check the Yellow Pages. Many chapels and videographers offer Internet streaming.
