Spokane Police are looking for a 3-year-old girl and her father who were last seen last Wednesday at a North Side day care.

The girl, Lilly Anna Rainey, was picked up at the center by her 31-year-old father, Shawn C. Rainey, who has an active felony warrant for his arrest, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.

Rainey had legal visitation with the child from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Cottam said.

The child’s mother, Kimberly Rainey, called police when the father and girl didn’t return that night, Cottam said. Kimberly and Shawn Rainey divorced in May 2004.

Later Wednesday, Kimberly Rainey went to her ex-husband’s home only to find a “Sold” sign on the house, Cottam said. It appeared that Shawn Rainey had already moved and did not report for work Wednesday.

Shawn Rainey drives a white 1998 Pontiac Grand Am with a black hood bra and a Washington license plate of 722 PTT, Cottam said.

Police are asking for any information about the child or the father. The girl weighs about 30 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes.

Shawn Rainey stands 6-foot-1, 175 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.
