Spokane City Council

3:30 p.m. Monday, Council Chambers, City Hall, review of March 28 agenda and approval of routine items. The police department is seeking approval of purchase of a storage warehouse in Hillyard.

6 p.m. Monday, Council Chambers, City Hall. The council is expected to vote on extending an emergency ordinance putting limits on second and third dwelling units in zones near Gonzaga University and other parts of the city where multiple residences are allowed. Also, the council is expected to accept a $2.3 million federal grant to eliminate lead paint in homes of low-income residents.

Spokane County commissioners

9:30 a.m. Tuesday, CEO briefing, Spokane County Courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave. The agenda includes Conservation Futures and a bus pass program.

2 p.m. Tuesday, Commissioners weekly meeting on non-hearing items, Commissioners Hearing Room, lower level, Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway Ave.

2:30 p.m. Tuesday, meeting with appointed directors, Conference Rm. 2B.

3:45 p.m. Tuesday, meeting with Health Officer Dr. Kim Thorburn regarding a mosquito control district, commissioners offices, Spokane County Courthouse.

12:30 p.m. Tuesday, district administration office, 720 W. Mallon, expansion of Convention Center.

Spokane Plan Commission

12 p.m. Wednesday, City Council briefing center, lower level, City Hall, information on construction of pedestrian bridge to replace Post Street Bridge, other transportation projects and update on a draft of new residential zoning regulations.

Spokane Valley City Council

Regular meeting, 6 p.m. Tuesday, City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave. Topics include: garage sale restrictions, pawnbroker ordinance, courts, parks and recreation master plan, community values and outdoor swimming pool operations.

Spokane Valley Planning Commission

6:30 p.m. Thursday, City Hall. Topics include: development applications in Ponderosa and comprehensive plan calendar of community involvement.

Spokane Regional Board of Health

Noon Thursday, Public Health Center, 1101 W. College Ave. The agenda includes a report from Health Officer Dr. Kim Thorburn, permitting espresso stands, a Shaken Baby Syndrome campaign and the 2004 year-end budget report.
